HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you. We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and near Hudson County so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store this July 4 in Hoboken, Jersey City, Secaucus, Bayonne, and elsewhere in and near Hudson County:

Hoboken

The city of Hoboken will not be hosting any July 4 celebrations of its own, but you can enjoy these in the area:

  • See events in Jersey City, Secaucus, and Bayonne below.
  • Macy's will have its annual display over the East River at 9 p.m., and Hoboken residents may be able to see it from Pier A or Pier C parks. Find out more here.
  • NY Waterway has added a July 4 fireworks cruise, including a stop on the Jersey side at Port Imperial. Find out more here.

Jersey City

What: Jersey City July 4 "Freedom and Fireworks" Event

When: July 4, 2021: Night Market at Exchange Place from 12-10 p.m.; fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Secaucus

Secaucus was originally set to hold its fireworks on July 1 at the town pool, just for members and their guests. The event was postponed due to the weather. Watch Secaucus Patch for updates.

What: Secaucus town fireworks. Food, live music from local Secaucus band Psychodelic Angel, and fireworks. Open to Secaucus residents and their guests; an ID will be required to enter the Secaucus Swim Club.

Where: Secaucus Swim Center, 2000 Koelle Blvd.

When: Postponed; watch Secaucus Patch for new date.

Bayonne

What: City of Bayonne's Independence Day celebration (Note that this is July 7); fireworks and family attractions

Where: Lower level of DiDomenico-16th Street Park

When: Beginning at 6:30 p.m., weather permitting, July 7. (Rain date July 14.)

Free children's inflatable rides will be available from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the old ampitheater of the southeastern corner of the park's lower level. Bobby Harden and the Soul Purpose Band will perform at 7 p.m. For more events, parking and transportation information, and more, click here.
