Hudson Shakespeare Touring Company Presents 'Pericles'
This is the final season of the company's 23rd season of traveling Shakespeare performances.

The clash of comedy and tragedy that marked Shakespeare’s years following “Macbeth” and “King Lear” that ads just a touch of divine intervention known as “Pericles,” a play co-written with Geoge Wilkens, is ready to make its way through the Hoboken and Jersey City area.
The Hudson Shakespeare Company will be touring the area presenting the performance from Thursday to Aug 18 at various locations for a suggested donation of $10. This is the final installment of the company’s 23rd season of traveling Shakespeare performances.
“Pericles” is known for its speeches and murder plots, jousting, dancing, music, magic and pirates, which the company said translates into a stunning visual performance.

“One could choose to let these speeches serve as they are, but we thought it would be more fun to tell
you, AND show you,” said Noelle Fair, the director of the production. “We’re using music and physical storytelling to
help the audience along the way. We create shipwrecks and other magical feats by using simple elements like
wooden dowels, pretty umbrellas, blue scraps of fabric and variety of international music. I’m hoping to deepen
certain character moments, elaborate on other points within the story, and to also display the depth of these events
and show how integral they are to the pay off at the end.”
The schedule is as follows:
