Internal Investigation After Altercation in Police Headquarters
Incident happened a few weeks ago.

Police Chief Anthony Falco has confirmed that an internal investigation has been launched in the Hoboken Police Department, after a lieutenant and a sergeant got into an altercation in police headquarters several weeks ago.Â
According to one source, who asked to remain anonymous, the fight occurred between three and four weeks ago. The two officers who got into the fight were Lt. Kevin Houghton and Sgt. Ed Drishti, according to multiple sources, who all asked for anonymity. Â
It's still unclear on what date and around what time the incident occurred. But since both men work the day shift, sources said it must have been day time.Â

Circumstances are still vague and Falco could not comment on the matter because internal investigations are confidential. Falco is not involved in the investigation, he said, but will hear the conclusion.Â
According to a Hudson Reporter article, Houghton sued the city in 2006, alleging that he was skipped for a promotion. As part of the settlement, according to that same article, Houghton was promoted to lieutenant in February 2009.

The details of the altercation are still vague, but according to one source the incident was captured on one of the surveillance videos in police headquarters.
City Hall officials, such as Director of Public Safety Angel Alicea and Mayor Dawn Zimmer, have been made aware of the situation, sources said.Â
Falco could not say when the investigation began or how long it will last.Â
