Knife-Wielding Hoboken Resident Chases Man Into Building, Police Say
30-year-old faces aggravated assault, resisting arrest and weapons charges.
A 30-year-old Hoboken resident accused of stabbing someone in a Jersey City diner last summer was arrested again in March for allegedly wielding a knife while chasing a man into a public housing complex.
Andre Wheeler was charged on March 23 with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and weapons offenses related to a knife, according to NJ.com.
The victim called police after he ran into a Marshall Drive building as Wheeler chased him, according to the report. The victim was not injured, according to the article.
Wheeler was also involved in a brawl at a Jersey City diner in August when two brothers allegedly started beating him, according to NJ.com. Wheeler then allegedly got up and stabbed one of them several times in the stomach, the report said.
