Jersey City, NJ – The fight against the Emerald Ash Borer has begun at Liberty State Park in Jersey City.
According to a news release, on May 19, more than 40 ash trees at Liberty State Park received “environmentally-sound treatments to protect them from the invasive Emerald Ash Borer pest,” which has destroyed hundreds of millions of ash trees to date.
The treatments were donated by Arborjet, a tree injection specialist, in conjunction with Almstead Tree & Shrub Care Company.
