Maserati Stolen From Car Wash in uptown Hoboken

A man appeared out of nowhere and drove off with the vehicle.

If you have a fancy car in Hoboken, do not lose sight of it. Not even at the car wash.

On Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m., a 51-year-old Hobokenite brought his Maserati to the Riverfront Car Wash at 1500 Willow Ave., police said.

As the vehicle was drying, police said, the man was standing on the side talking to his girlfriend. The driver's side door was open.

All of a sudden, police said that a man wearing a gray hoodie appeared, ran over the vehicle and rolled over the hood of the car. The man then sat down in the car, and drove off in northbound direction out of town, police said.

While no arrests have been made, the car was has video cameras in place.
