Novelist To Sign New Thriller At Hoboken Indie Bookstore
Jason Pinter, who is also a book publisher, will appear at the indie book shop Little City Books in Hoboken on Wednesday.

HOBOKEN — It may not be unusual for an author to do a local booksigning for his new thriller novel — but what if the book is inspired by a cherished member of his family?
Hoboken-based novelist Jason Pinter, whose company, Polis Books, has published other authors' thriller novels, returns with his own thriller this month, Hide Away. He says that part of its inspiration came from a tiny source.
"To what extremes would you go to keep your family safe?" asks a release. "This is the question that bestselling author Jason Pinter was consumed by when he became a parent for the first time and felt the strength of the infinite love he had for his infant daughter—as well as the overwhelming need to protect her from all of the world’s dangers. And it became the premise of his new thriller series centering on vigilante hero (and mother) Rachel Marin, launching with Hide Away on March 1."

The book is published by Thomas & Mercer.
The book's protagonist, Rachel, appears at first to be a "typical suburban single mom," but after her family suffered from an unimaginable crime, she decides no one in her family will be a victim again. After honing her crime-fighting and mystery solving skills, she's a bit suspicious when a murder mystery crops up in her new town. She's compelled to investigate.

Pinter said on Tuesday, "I wanted to create a character who was strong, smart, resilient, and capable, but also flawed, relatable, and fallible. I wanted to write a gripping page turner with characters who felt real, who bled and cried, and who would stick with you."
Pinter will read and sign books on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Little City Books, 100 Bloomfield St. in Hoboken, a walk from the Hoboken train station. The next day he'll appear at Shakespeare & Co. in New York at 6:30 p.m. After that, he has appearances planned in Arizona, Texas, California, and Washingtton State. Find out more information here.
