Olivia's Restaurant In Hoboken Opens (Link To Menu)

The corner eatery in uptown Hoboken was long awaited, as it was originally slated to open last spring, before COVID hit.

HOBOKEN, NJ — Olivia's, a new restaurant on a quaint corner of uptown Hoboken, planned to hold a soft opening Friday night. The restaurant said they'd be open to walk-ins from 5 to 11 p.m.

The menu on the restaurant website was updated Friday, with items ranging from Olivia's Guacamole to free-range chicken to chickpea dusted shrimp a la Planch.

The eatery at 1038 Garden St. is long awaited, as it was originally slated to open last spring, before COVID hit.

On Friday: No longer under wraps.

The owners began renovating the space at the site vacated by the longtime Sasso's Deli back in 2019.

Signage that went up last month announced an opening and that the eatery was looking to hire.

The eatery has said it will offer "dining and cocktails" and joins a number of new restaurants and businesses opening this spring in the mile-square city. Check out the growing list here:

The corner restaurant is three blocks west of the main street, Washington Street. It's on the corner of Garden and 11th streets, looking out on a quiet, tree-lined block.
