One Of Country's Best Sandwiches Is In Hoboken, Magazine Says

HOBOKEN, NJ — Hoboken has no shortage of Italian delis serving up delicious homemade fresh mozzarella, not to mention a charity "Mutz Fest" each year to help determine who has the best. Food & Wine Magazine, in releasing a list on Monday of the best sandwiches in each of the 50 states, entered the fray by crowing about their own favorite sandwich shop: M&P Biancamano Deli.

"Hoboken's M&P Biancamano has been in business for a whole century, with the same cheesemaker for over 30 years," they wrote. "We weren't going to play favorites, but their fresh mozzarella and pepper sandwich—a thing of simple beauty, on some very fine bread—might be one of the country's best sandwiches, period."

They also note that there are many other great delis in Hoboken and in New Jersey in general, including Atlantic City's White House Subs. Read more of the story here.
