Out-Of-State Hockey Player Finds Way To Get Hoboken And NJ Grub
This Binghamton Devil saw his roommate get Taylor ham while in Wisconsin, which inspired him to make sure he got Hoboken grub recently.
HOBOKEN, NJ — The Binghamton Devils recently relocated from upstate New York to Newark, N.J. for the current season, and for one player, that means a little more culinary joy.
The sports website The Athletic recently chronicled player Shane Connelly's efforts to get his favorite New Jersey grub while playing for an out-of-town team, most recently finding his way to O'Bagel in Hoboken, which is known for its specialty sandwiches.
Connelly told the website that years ago, his college roommate at the University of Wisconsin used to get Taylor ham shipped in from Philly (it's a South Jersey delicacy). So recently, while staying at an Airbnb in Hoboken, Connelly strolled up busy Washington Street to get a sandwich at O'Bagel, the website reports. Read more on The Athletic here.
