Park Redesign on Council Agenda, Zumba for the High School and More This Week in Hoboken

On Monday we will bring you the crime reports from the Hoboken police department about what happened over the weekend.

For Hobokenites visiting the police department, its headquarters on Hudson Street is under renovation. All residents with police business have to go to the adjacent temporary structure.

We will also follow up on Hoboken Housing Authority news. The first phase of Vision 20/20 — a plan to overhaul the entire HHA — was set in motion after the board hired a developer last week.

On Tuesday night, the Hoboken School Board will meet at 7 p.m. at 1115 Clinton St. showing that — while some improvement can be seen — Hoboken's schools still lag in comparison to its peer districts.

Wednesday night, the Hoboken City Council is set to meet. At 7 p.m., the 8-person council will meet at City Hall.

The council will discuss the redesign of Elysian Park, a resolution to award a contract to Bike and Roll for an agreement and more.

Before the meeting opens for the public, the city will go into closed session to discuss multiple law suits in which the city is involved.

Hoboken's school aged kids are preparing to perform Seussical during the first weekend of May. There's still time to buy tickets.

On Thursday night, the public is invited to attend the city's workshop to develop a master plan for green development. 

On Sunday the 21st, Hobokenites can attend a walking tour — hosted by the Green Team — along all the LEED certified buildings in town.
