Police: $8,000 Worth of Sunglasses Stolen in Hoboken

A 32-year-old Hoboken woman told police that a suitcase with 100 pairs of sunglasses was taken from her apartment between 10 and 11:20 a.m. on Monday, according to reports.

The alleged burglary took place in an apartment at 801 Madison St., police said.

The woman said she had placed a rolling suitcase against a wall in her apartment. The suitcase, police added, contained 100 pairs of sunglasses, totaling $8,000. 

When she returned home, the suitcase was missing, police said.

No arrests were made. It's also unclear why the woman had so many sunglasses in her possession.
