Union City Man Accused of Stealing From Church's Poor Box

A Union City man was arrested for allegedly taking $5 from the poor box at Sts. Peter and Paul Church on Hudson Street, police said. 

Antonio Figueroa, 52, who is well known to police, according to reports, had a wire hanger he used to "fish out cash from the poor box," police said. 

When police arrived on the scene on Friday afternoon, they arrested Figueroa and charged him with burglary, possession of burglary tools and theft of movable property.
