Police Blotter: Woman Gets Punched, Chemical Substance Sprayed on Bar Goers

Hoboken police arrested  a Newark man in front of Malibu Diner on Friday evening after he allegedly punched a Jersey City woman in the face, according to police reports.
Gamill Haidara, 34, was charged with aggravated assault and obstructing administrative law of order, after he refused to give his personal information to the officers, according to the police report on the matter.Â
According to the report, the woman—who had a visible bruise on her right cheek—told the police that Haidara punched her after "she playfully tapped Mr. Haidara on his cheek with her opened hand."

Police officers looked at Malibu Diner's surveillance video and confirmed the altercation, according to the police report.Â
The 23-year-old woman was transported to the hospital where doctors diagnosed her with a fractured cheekbone, according to the police report.Â

REPORT: BAR PATRONS HIT WITH CHEMICAL SPRAY
Just after midnight on Saturday, police officers responded to a disturbance call that came from four people at Green Rock Tavern, who told police they were sprayed with "an unknown chemical substance" by a man driving by in a silver BMW, according to the police report on the matter.Â
The chemical substance hit two of the victims in the eyes, causing irritation and temporary loss of vision, according to the police report. Another victim was hit in the neck, where the chemical also caused irritation, according to the report.Â
According to the police report, one of the victims said the chemical was sprayed at them from a "super soaker type device."
No arrests were made.Â
REPORT: AGGRAVATED ASSAULT ON POLICE OFFICER
After responding to a noise complaint Saturday morning around 1:30, Hoboken police officers arrested a 42-year-old Ronald Ricciuti for aggravated assault on a police officer and possession, use or being under the influence of CDS marijuana, according to a police report.Â
Officers entered the Ricciuti's apartment after they heard two people who sounded "angry and intoxicated," according to the police. According to the report Ricciuti " kept getting up out of the chair and getting into our faces," police stated in the report. Then, Ricciuti got up and placed his hands on one of the policemen's chest with the intent to push him away, according to the police report. The officer then arrested Ricciuti, according to the report.Â
A bag with a green substance believed to be marijuana was found on the table, according to the police report.Â
