PSEG responds to gas leak at Carlo's Bakery site

PSE&G said it is investigating the cause of a gas leak at Carlo’s Bake Shop, the famed site at 95 Washington Street in Hoboken.

The utility said it sent a crew to the location at 10:30 after receiving calls about the gas leak, and multiple reports say the bakery and two adjacent residential buidings were evacuated as emergency crews sought to find the source of the leak.

A spokesperson for PSE&G said that repairs were completed by 3:45 p.m. and the cause of the leak is under investigation.
