Seven Women Arrested After Public Altercation

Hoboken police arrested seven Hudson County women early Friday morning, after they got into a public fight in downtown Hoboken, according to a police report on the matter.

Four of the women were charged with disorderly conduct and three were charged with simple assault, police said. 

Police officers who were patrolling the street stopped in front of Room 84 on downtown Washington Street around 2 a.m., and found a "melee of females attacking each other," according to the police report.

Police officers then approached the women, trying to pull them apart and demanding them to stop, according to the police report. 

According to the police report, Rosa Lowe, 23, from Jersey City—who was involved in the fight—then approached an officer and started yelling at him and gesticulating in a matter that was threatening to the officer and others around her. Lowe was then arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, police said.

After breaking up the altercation, police went on to arrest Jersey City residents Sally Gerges, Gladys Delgado and Dayanna Arce, as well as Hoboken residents Flor Guzman, Karen Detres and Melissa Camacho.

Police reports didn't make it clear what the women were fighting about.
