Does Hoboken Want 'Anne Hall' Or 'Trolls'? Take Movie Survey

The city will restart its "Movies Under the Stars" series, and wants residents to choose from a list of films, from classics to family fare.

HOBOKEN, NJ — In another sign of a return to post-pandemic normalcy, Hoboken's Department of Cultural Affairs sent a survey Sunday to find out which films residents want to view outdoors on a big screen this summer — heralding the return of the popular "Movies Under The Stars" series that was canceled last summer amid coronavirus.

The survey provided a long list to choose from, including new films (many of which were not released in theaters last year because of the pandemic), classics, and Disney favorites.

"Movies Under the Stars" will be shown at two locations this summer: on Pier A and at Seventh and Jackson streets.
