Summit School Board To Meet Thursday: Link Here
The schools have announced more coronavirus cases in the past few days, and Summit High School has gone remote for two weeks.

SUMMIT, NJ — The next Board of Education meeting in Summit will be held Thursday in the Summit High School Library/Media Center at 7 p.m. The meeting will be streamed remotely.

To make a public comment, send an email to lpepe@summit.k12.nj.us prior to the meeting and up to the public comment portion of the meeting. The “Subject" line should state "Public Comment." Include your name and address. Comments sent prior to the meeting are preferred.

Coronavirus in the schools and in the city
In a letter on Monday, Superintendent of Schools Scott Hough identified four schools with recent cases of coronavirus. Only Summit High School has gone remote for two weeks, so far.

Several other area districts have had similar situations recently as cases rise statewide.
On Monday, the city of Summit said there had been 11 new cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus reported between Monday and Saturday. Since March, the total number among residents since March is 335.
There have been 17 confirmed cases in Summit so far in November. City statistics are updated continuously here.
