Third Ward Councilman Holds Press Conference

In the midst of campaigning for the Fourth Ward, one councilman is now raising his own issues. 

Third Ward Councilman Michael Russo will be holding a press conference at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, announcing that the parking utilities office—currently located in City Hall—will be moved to the mid-town garage close to the Hoboken University Medical Center. 

In a press release announcing the press conference, Russo said that he asked Business Administrator Arch Liston during a meeting last week if "he was aware that the relocation move was proceeding without any public input or notification."

In Monday's press release Russo also accused the Zimmer administration of not being transparent. 

Russo, who is publicly supporting Tim Occhipinti for council in the Nov. 2 special elections for the Fourth Ward seat, said also in the statement that he wondered if Councilman Michael Lenz—Occhipinti's opponent—was aware of the move.
