HOBOKEN, NJ — With summer on the way (June 20), kids will be screaming for ice cream, not to mention for things to do. Luckily, two new businesses are on the way to scoop out tasty treats for Hoboken residents of all ages.

Play Fun Eat, a new business, opens this Friday on Pier A in Hoboken. "Rent games, blankets, eat ice cream and more," they noted on their Instagram site. "A new way to enjoy Pier A Park."

Their Instagram page gives examples of games they rent out that can be played outside, such as Putter Ball with golf clubs, and Spike Ball.

Meanwhile, construction continues at 900 Garden St. (see photo), the former site of a dry cleaners. A worker there said this week they are still expecting to open a gelato shop, as first reported in Jersey Digs in 2019.

The shop, KikiLu, is reportedly owned by the proprietors of Otto Strada, a popular Italian restaurant on Eighth and Park Avenue.
