The announcement was made to faculty and staff on Monday afternoon.

Two top administrators at Stevens Institute of Technology have stepped down and have left the university, according to two memos sent to staff and faculty on Monday.
Vice President of University Enrollment and Administration Maureen Weatherall retired and Dean of University Admissions Daniel Gallagher resigned, "effective immediately."
While Weatherall officially retires at the end of the year, she has taken a leave of absence effective immediately, according to the memo.Â

"The retirement and resignation provide an opportunity to reexamine the structure of the school’s enrollment management division to align with the objectives of the university’s ten-year strategic plan," said Noah Lichtman, a university spokesman.
"Both employees were respected members of the Stevens community and responsible for spearheading many successful initiatives over their long and distinguished careers," Lichtman said also.
Danielle Woodruffe, the communications director at Stevens, said that the fact that both administrators left at the same time was "coincidental."
According to one member of the Stevens community, who asked to remain anonymous, however, "there's something very off." Â
Weatherall and Gallagher were "attached to the hip," the source said, adding that the timing—only a couple of weeks after the start of the new school year—was odd.Â
"They were the closest two colleagues you're going to find together," the source said. "They operated together on about everything."Â
