At 10 a.m., Buddy "Cake Boss" Valastro will officially celebrate the 100th anniversary of Carlo's Bakery. Washington Street will be closed off from Observer Highway to First Street for the festivities. The block party—which has been advertised to be "Cake Boss style"—starts at 10 a.m. and lasts until 2 p.m. The City has encouraged all visitors to take public transportation into town. Buddy will be there, and there will be a giant cake and cupcakes.Â
At 11 a.m. the city is celebrating Puerto Rican Day in City Hall with a flag rising. The ceremony will be held in honor of Don Jaime MuĹ„oz (1924-2009), the founder of the United Political Progressive Association for Hispanics in Hoboken.Â

By the way, the front door of City Hall will be locked, so enter through the side door on Newark Street.Â
From 12 to 3 p.m., Assemblyman Ruben Ramos is holding a career fair in the Multi Service Center. Employers who will be attending: Wal-Mart, Plumbers local #24, North Hudson Community Action Corp., U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Aflac, Hoboken Housing Authority, Hudson County Community College, Primerica, Eco Maids, PNC Bank, Wachovia Bank, The 1080 Group, Army, Viridian Energy Company, Hill & Knowlton , and  People Care.Â

At 1 p.m. the Hoboken Historical Museum is hosting a re-enactment of the very first baseball game ever played. The game will take place at the Stevens' campus Dobbelaar Baseball field. The match will be played barehanded, by 1870s rules, as a competitive match, announced the museum. Hot dogs and t-shirts will be available, and all the proceeds will go toward the museum.Â
