Yankees Pick Hoboken Baseball Standout In MLB Draft
The right-hander is only the 2nd player in Stevens Institute of Tech history to be selected in the MLB draft, and the first in 45 years.

HOBOKEN, NJ — A Stevens Institute of Technology baseball standout was selected by the New York Yankees during the Major League Baseball draft on Wednesday.
The Yankees selected junior Charlie Ruegger in the 33rd round with the #997th overall pick. Ruegger bats and throws right-handed and is 6 feet 6 inches and 218 pounds, MLB.com states.
