Zimmer To Hold Community Meetings About Transportation Issues
Three sessions in the coming weeks.

On Monday, July 19 from 6 to 9 p.m., Mayor Dawn Zimmer and Transportation and Parking Director Ian Sacs will host a Newark Street Safety Re-Design Community Workshop.
On Tuesday, August 3Â from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Zimmer, Sacs, and consultants from The RBA Group will host a Bicycle & Pedestrian Plan Public Visioning Meeting.

On Tuesday, August 17 from 6 to 9 p.m., Zimmer and Sacs will host an "Observer Highway Safety Re-Design Community Workshop."
The projects that will be discussed are improving safety along Newark Street between River Street and Washington Street as well as $2 million in federal funding to improve Observer Highway, according to Melli.Â

All three meetings will be held at the Multi Service Center on 124 Grand Street. The city is looking for participation from the public. "Based on public feedback, engineers will prepare conceptual designs which will be presented to the public at a second round of meetings," the press release stated. "Construction plans will then be developed based on further feedback."
