JEFFERSON, NJ — New Jersey State Police Marine Services is still investigating why a 25-foot boat and jet ski collided, later sinking in Lake Hopatcong on Monday night.
State Police Spokesperson Sgt. Philip Curry said the crash happened at about 7:30 p.m. near Liffy Island, a section of the lake within Jefferson Township.
Curry said Thursday the jet ski driver, an unidentified 43-year-old woman, ended up with minor head and arm injuries in the accident.

Neither the driver nor one passenger in the boat, Curry reported, were hurt.
Though Curry had no further information on the accident, or whether or not the vessels had capsized, photos taken by resident Jeffrey Hanf show both the boat and jet ski had each been hoisted separately from the lake.
