Dump Control Loses Control, Causes Traffic Delays in Sparta
A fully-loaded dump truck traveling northbound on Route 15 lost control and rolled over a guard rail.
Significant traffic delays on and around Route 15 near the 14-mile marker due to an overturned dump truck, according to the Sparta Police Department. According to official police reports, a dump truck loaded to the brim was traveling northbound on Route 15 when the driver lost control at about 2 PM this afternoon. The truck rolled over a guard rail and into a pond near the 14-mile marker, police said. The driver has not yet been identified but no one was injured. Officers are currently investigating the accident. Plan an alternate of travel if possible.
