DWI Arrests: Recent Police Activity in Sparta
Two township men were arrested for DWI on Friday and Sunday, respectively: police.

Nov. 25
An erratic driver in a 2007 Land Rover was arrested and charged with DWI, police said.

Cpl. Joe Antonello saw the vehicle cross the oncoming lane of traffic while turning from Park Road to East Shore Trail, Sgt. Dennis Proctor said.
The investigation was turned over to Officer Dan Florio, who asked the driver, Billy Richardson, 52, to perform field sobriety tests, according to Proctor.

After failing the tests, Richardson was arrested and charged with DWI, careless driving and failure to keep right, Proctor said.
Nov. 27
Police said they arrested a 40-year-old township man who drunkenly drove down the middle of West Shore Trail, "completely" across the solid yellow line.
Cpl. Marc Rubino came to the opinion that the driver, Christopher Liddle, was under the influence, Proctor said.
Liddle failed subsequent field sobriety tests and was arrested and charged with DWI, refusal to submit breath samples, careless driving, failure to keep right, failure to exhibit driver's license and failure to exhibit proof of insurance, according to the sergeant.
