Free Fine Arts Careers Seminar in March

A free seminar about careers in the fine arts will be held at Project Self-Sufficiency.

A free seminar about professions in the fields of the fine and performing arts will be offered to teens and adults on Wednesday, March 16th, from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Project Self-Sufficiency. Peters Valley School of Craft Development Director Lindsay Gates will be joined by Pianist and Early Child Music and Movement Specialist Diana Greene along with Dance Expression Dance Arts owner Lisa Simko Schumann for a discussion of the background, education and the skills necessary for success in the fine and performing arts. Questions from the audience will be welcome. “Becoming You: Fine Arts Careers” will explore vocations like dancer, musician, artist, studio owner, non-profit organization director, educator, and more. The seminar is free and open to teens and adults, but registration is required. Interested participants are encouraged to call 973-940-3500 or 844-807-3500 to register. Project Self-Sufficiency is located at 127 Mill Street in Newton.
