Hopatcong Man Gets 2 Months for House Party Fight

Anthony Grosse, 24, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault for March incident when he threw another man down a flight of stairs.

A Hopatcong resident has been sentenced to two months in jail and two months probation for throwing another man down a flight of stairs during a fight at a house party, the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office said.

Anthony Grosse, 24, pleaded guilty to third-degree aggravated assault and was sentenced to 66 days in prison with a credit of six days served, three years probation and $1,433.39 in restitution. Grosse must submit to a TASC evaluation and abstain from drugs and alcohol.

According to the prosecutor’s office, got into a fight at a March house party and threw the victim down the stairs, causing various contusions, an orbital fracture and a subconjunctival hemorrhage.
