Hopatcong Police, Schools, TransOptions Have Bike Helmets To Give
The Hopatcong Borough Police Department has teamed up with the Hopatcong School District and TransOptions to distribute bike helmets.
HOPATCONG, NJ – Emily Casey of TransOptions has donated 50 bike helmets to the Hopatcong School District and the district in turn has partnered with police to help spread the message of bike safety.
In the past, Durban Avenue School Counselor Lisa Schuffenhauer has organized Bike Rodeos for the district, but due to COVID-19 it was cancelled last year. In lieu of having the program, the helmets were donated.
Hopatcong Middle School 4th and 5th Grade School Counselor Melissa Kennedy and Middle School Resource Officer Mike Luicani delivered various size helmets to all of the schools in the district.
