Hopatcong Woman’s Club Still Active During Challenging Times
Hopatcong Woman's Club hard at work

While our annual fashion show has been postponed (tentatively rescheduled at The Mansion in Mountain Lakes on Sunday, October 18, 2020), our membership has been hard at work. With the help of our members, as well as the assistance of the Hopatcong community, we have been able to help those in need during these uncertain times.
Over the past month we have collected donations for I Support the Girls including essential items for those facing homelessness, and these items were distributed to shelters in Northern and Central NJ. https://isupportthegirls.org/

Through our food collections bins (primarily the Hopatcong Post Office location in recent times), we have donated much needed pantry items to Project Self-Sufficiency. www.projectselfsufficiency.org
We have also made a monetary donation to the West Side Methodist Church to help their food pantry and community service. http://www.hopatcongwestsideumc.org/

Be sure to check our HWC Facebook page for details regarding a new online fundraiser for the month of May. Thirty-One Online will be taking orders and the Hopatcong Woman’s Club will receive a percentage of sales to help with our community efforts and to replenish scholarship funds.
Our general membership meetings will be held via phone conference until further notice, but we can’t wait to see familiar faces, as well as new ones, once we are cleared to gather again. We are scheduling a full array of activities for the fall and 2021.
If you would like more information on helping our club with donations or if you would like to become a member, please contact Member Chairperson Lisa Hirschfeld. She can be reached at 973-479-9228 or e-mail: lisah101@optonline.net.
