Mom Says It Best: It's Ok To Be Different

ACROSS AMERICA — The simplest words can often have the most meaningful effect on us, especially coming from the person who gave us life.

Melissa DeBlock's mother gave her some advice that probably would be important for everyone who feels different from those around them.

"God made you different and that's okay because you were born to break barriers and disprove any and everyone along the way'" she said.

DeBlock, a Patch reader from Hopatcong, New Jersey, is among Patch readers sharing the best advice they ever got from their moms in our extended celebration of Mother's Day.
