New Kiwanis Club Planned for Roxbury Area

Kiwanis Club of Greater Roxbury will hold an exploratory meeting

ROXBURY - A new Kiwanis club is planned for the Roxbury area to give community members the opportunity to help kids.

The proposed Kiwanis Club of Greater Roxbury will hold an exploratory meeting on Tuesday, November 10 at 6:30 p.m. via Zoom. Visit roxburykiwanis.org to register to attend the meeting.

This meeting will discuss Kiwanis initiatives, volunteering, member joining and the upcoming organization meeting.

Kiwanis International has more than 600,000 members around the world dedicated to volunteer service that helps kids.

“Kiwanis clubs provide a great opportunity to meet new friends who believe in serving their communities, networking with business professionals and making a significant impact on the community through volunteering,” said Frank Cahill, Lt. Governor New Jersey Division 9. “Kids need Kiwanis, in our community and in communities around the world, so they can grow up in a world where they are happy, healthy, safe and loved.”

The new Kiwanis Club of Greater Roxbury will focus on service projects addressing several community needs, including food drives, scholarships and more.

“We understand the changing needs of today’s busy volunteers, and encourage members to give time when they can, whether that’s at a service project or at a meeting," said Cain Pope, Kiwanis Club of Greater Roxbury. “We hope that men and women of all ages will join us and help make a difference for children in our community.”
