Sparta Ambulance Squad Is Hiring EMTs

Those interested must have two years of experience to apply.

SPARTA, NJ - The Sparta Ambulance Squad is seeking experienced EMTs, with a minimum of 2 years of active EMS experience, for a per diem position Monday-Friday 5:45 a.m. through 6 p.m.

Candidates must be friendly, outgoing and professional, present with a patient and supportive attitude, and have good scene management and communication skills, officials said.

Sparta Ambulance Squad responds to roughly 1,400 calls per year, with approximately 70 percent of the calls during the day time hours. Employees will be stationed at a fully furnished headquarters during their shift equipped with WiFi, cable TV, kitchen area, and computer stations. CEU trainings, as well as PHTLS/CPR/EMT Refreshers offered throughout the year at no cost to the employee. Ambulances are equipped with back up cameras, power stretchers, 1 power load system, and Lucas device in addition to other standard items.

Certification Requirements:

  • Current New Jersey EMT Certification
  • Current BLS CPR Certification
  • ICS 100/200/700
  • CEVO III
  • HAZMAT
  • BBP
  • PHTLS or ITLS or TCCC
  • Valid New Jersey Driver's License
