Sparta Board Of Education Set To Pick New Superintendent
The Sparta Board of Education plans to appoint new Superintendent by October 24 committee meeting.

A new superintendent at the Sparta Board of Education will be at the helm by December 1st, according to an article in TAPintoSparta, as long as the process of selection moves smoothly. The Board is currently reviewing 23 applications that were submitted by the September 12 deadline, said the article.
The committee in charge of searching for the candidate, including board members, Kylen Anderson, Melva Cummings and Karen Scott; two Sparta School district principals Michael Gregory and Laura Trent; Sparta Education Association President Susan Sawey; and English Supervisor Mary Hassenplug were in the process of interviewing applicants who submitted their documents by the September deadline, said TAPintoSparta.
