Sussex Co.: Virtual Training To Drug Check Your Child's Room

SUSSEX COUNTY, NJ - The Coalition for Healthy and Safe Communities is presenting "Hidden in Plain Sight" on Zoom this Wednesday. A program designed to help spot signs of drug use.

The presentation is set to run from 7 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. through Zoom.

Hidden in Plain Sight is a virtual presentation that provides parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers, and other adults an opportunity to explore a teenager’s bedroom to see and identify drug paraphernalia, hiding places, and other signs that may indicate alcohol or other substance use by a teen.

Throughout the virtual event, councilors, prevention specialists, and local law enforcement will explain various Sussex County substance use trends, signs, symptoms, and lingo to raise awareness about substance use and provide resources for parents and community members to help keep youth healthy and drug-free.
