Two Suspects Convicted for Posing as Inspectors, Robbing Hopatcong Homes

Police arrested the pair in June when they were spotted removing appliances from an abandoned home.

Two men convicted of posing as home inspectors to rob homes in Hopatcong will be sentenced in November after they were caught breaking in to an abandoned home.

Kelvin V. Fridy, Jr., 27 of Irvington, and Freddie Hamilton, 25, of Union, were convicted Monday when they pleaded guilty to ourth-degree criminal attempt at their court appearance in Newton.

Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office said police arrested the duo in June as they were removing appliances from the abandoned home. Sentencing will take place Nov. 7.
