Uncontested Primary Kicks Off In Hopatcong
There are three candidates vying for their party's nomination in June.
HOPATCONG, NJ - An uncontested primary kicked off the 2021 election cycle with two Republicans and one Democrat filing by Monday's deadline seeking their party's nomination for Hopatcong Borough Council.
For the Republicans, Dawn Roberts and Ryan Smith filed their petition run under a joint ticket by 6 p.m. Monday. They are running under the Hopatcong Republican banner.
Mara Modes, who lost to Richard Schindelar and John Young in 2020 in the general election, is running uncontested to secure the Democratic nomination.

The primary is scheduled for June 8.
