A Hopatcong man who receives $186 weekly in alimony is suing his ex-wife for writing words like “loser” and “bum” and “adult child support” in the memo line of the checks she sends, dailyrecord.com reported.

Francis Wagner, 61, is suing his ex-wife Diane, claiming he has suffered emotional distress and that the remarks on the written checks have made his already poor health that much worse, the report said.
Diane Wagner told the publication she can put whatever notes she wants on her personal checks. The divorce was finalized in July 2014.

An image of the one of the checks was posted to the Facebook page of the law firm of Trautmann & Trautmann earlier this year, saying, “ALIMONY FOR THE MAN ! What’s funny is that the now ex-wife so hated paying our client - the husband - $800 per month for the next six years as alimony and she had written “Alimony/Adult Child Support” in the memo of the weekly checks - until we put a stop to that harassment.”
