Businesses Closing In Downtown Jersey City
A few restaurants have already closed. Another business, Downtown Hardware, will close by the end of the year, according to a report.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — Several businesses have closed, or will close, in Jersey City, recently.
Third & Vine closed earlier this month after six years in business.
"We thank all of the customers and especially our staff who have been with us through this journey," a post on the business' Instagram page stated.

The Piggyback Bar closed at the end of September, but a new Piggyback Bar will open in New York City's Chelsea's neighborhood this fall, the business confirmed on Facebook.
"We are very sad that it's coming to an end but truly proud of what we created here," a post on the bar's Facebook page said.

Another business, Downtown Hardware, will close by the end of the year after more than 45 years in business.
Owner Edwin Cruz said that competition from big box companies like Home Depot and Amazon hit the business hard, according to a report on jerseycityupfront.com. The store could close as early as December.
Talde closed its doors in downtown Jersey City earlier this year.
"It is time to say goodbye. Jersey City, it's been a pleasure," a post on the business' Instagram page stated.
