JERSEY CITY, NJ — Happy Monday, Jersey City! There are plenty of events happening around the city this week, so Patch rounded up a list of the important dates to remember, so you don't miss the fun!
City Meetings
- Monday: City Council Caucus meeting. Virtual from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
- Tuesday: Planning Board meeting. Virtual from 5:30 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.

- Wednesday: JC Employees’ Retirement System meeting. Virtual from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

- Hatian Flag Raising
- The City of Jersey City, Mayor Steven M. Fulop, the Jersey City Municipal Council and the Office of Cultural Affairs present the Haitian Flag Raising. This event is co-sponsored by the Haitians Unified for Development and Education (HUDE), the Haiti Solidarity Network of the North East (HSNNE) and the Haitian Evangelical Church of Jesus Christ.
- Mental Health and the Importance of Self-Care
- Attendees will learn about stress, how to manage stress, and essential self-care tips and ideas.

- The Struggle Continues: Honoring Malcolm X
- Garden State Jazz Greats Series
- Join us each month as jazz scholar Ben Young highlights and explores the majesty, style, and genius of New Jersey's jazz greats. Ben will discuss each of these home state heroes' lives and contributions, providing a musical and historical context. Along with a plentiful helping of their music, it will help illustrate what made each of their unique and singular artistic visions have such an impact.
