Off-Duty Jersey City Officer Beaten Unconscious
A group of 10 men reportedly beat the man while yelling racial epithets.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — An off-duty Jersey City police officer was beaten unconscious Sunday morning by a group of about 10 men.
The 42-year-old officer was found injured on Grove Street and Newark Avenue just before 3:30 a.m. City officials said that the officer was bleeding from his head and face. According to officials, the man was beaten unconscious by a group of 10 people who yelled racial epithets at him.
The man was rushed to the hospital with severe head trauma, was treated and released.
