Greenville Spring Cleanup Lasts All April
The Greenville Neighborhood Alliance kicked off spring with a neighborhood-wide cleanup that lasted all month.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — Neighbors in Greenville wasted no time in starting spring-cleaning. When the first week of April rolled around, the Greenville Neighborhood Alliance was ready to get their hands dirty and the sidewalks clean.
The alliance started a month-long neighborhood cleanup which was supported and promoted by the Jersey City Anti-Violence Coalition and several local nonprofits. The goal of the cleanup was to get Greenville residents together to clean "from our doorstep to our curb."
On the first day of the cleanup, neighbors cleared about six blocks and posted on Facebook how impressive it was that only two trash bags were needed, mostly to hold leaves.
