The Grand Street lanes are part of Let's Ride JC, Jersey City's

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The city's Bike Path is taking shape.
Bike lanes on Grand Street have been marked, which is usually the final step before painting occurs on a municipal street, as part of the city's Bike Master Plan.
Mayor Steven Fulop posted about the bike lanes on Twitter recently. Fulop could not be immediately reached for comment Monday.

Fulop said there has been some resistance from drivers about the project.
"I know that some drivers aren't supportive of us doing this but when we're done, the car-focused people will adapt to the new normal [and] the streets will be safer for everyone," Fulop said.

The Bike Master Plan is a multi-faceted project. A protected bike lane on Bergen Avenue debuted earlier this year, along with bike parking at the Journal Square PATH Station.

We started marking out the Grand Street Bike Lanes this week as part of our #JerseyCity Bike Master Plan.
