Jersey City Board of Ed Announces Meeting For Admissions Overview
The meeting is the first of two that will discuss the admissions process at McNair High and Infinity Institute.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The Jersey City Board of Education announced the first of two planned meetings to discuss the admissions process at two of the city's most prestigious schools.
Last month, the board approved a resolution to take a closer look at the admissions process for McNair Academic High School and Infinity Institute. The special board meeting will be held at 6 p.m. on July 15 via Zoom and can be viewed on the district Facebook page.
Board of Education President Mussab Ali said the idea behind the changes is to promote more socio-economic diversity in the schools. Both McNair and Infinity made it onto U.S. News and World Report's top 100 high schools in New Jersey. McNair High School made it onto the list of top 10 best schools in New Jersey and Infinity Institute made the top 20 list in the state, coming in at number 11.
