Jersey City Man Facing Illegal Gun Charges

He is charged by indictment with one count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — A Jersey City man is facing several gun charges including possession of an illegal gun.

Davone Adams, 42, was released on house arrest but was charged by indictment with one count of possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon. He was also charged by complaint with being in possession of another handgun and more ammunition.

On Feb. 23, 2021, Adams was found with a loaded pistol, a loaded rifle and ammunition for both, according to court documents, and more guns were found at his home.

Each count of illegally possessing a firearm carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
