Jersey City Man Wanted In Connection With Princeton Ave Murder

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Hudson County officials are looking for a second suspect in the May 3 killing of a 23-year-old man in Jersey City on Princeton Avenue.
Omire Rios-Williams, 19, of Jersey City, is wanted by police and was charged with the murder of 23-year-old Emmanuel Garcia, he is facing several other charges. Earlier this week, the Hudson County Prosecutor's office announced the arrest of Shianne Payne-Nanton in connection to the May 3 shooting.
Officials said anyone who sees Rios-Williams should not approach him, but should immediately call police. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Office of the Hudson County Prosecutor at 201-915-1345 or to leave an anonymous tip on the Prosecutor’s Office official website.

The shooting happened on Princeton Avenue and Brown Place on May 3. Garcia had several gunshot wounds and was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The Regional Medical Examiner determined the cause of death to be gunshot wounds of the torso and left upper extremity and the manner of death to be homicide.
