Jersey City Planning Board To Vote On Cannabis Regulations

The meeting will be open for public comment before the board votes.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City's Planning Board will vote on Tuesday night on a set of amendments to proposed regulations and ordinances for possible cannabis establishments in the city. But before the vote, residents will have a chance to chime into the meeting and offer their input.

Jersey City Supervising Planner Matt Ward presented the city's regulations and plan for cannabis establishments in Jersey City at the June 8 meeting with the Planning Board. Municipalities in New Jersey have until August 21 to enact an ordinance managing cannabis policy in the city for the next five years.
