Jersey City Police Officer Shot Car During Stop: HCPO
No one was shot or injured during the stop, but an officer did discharge his weapon, hitting a car, according to the HCPO.

JERSEY CITY, NJ — The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office is investigating after a Jersey City police officer discharged his weapon on Thursday morning and shot a car during a stop.
Around 1:10 a.m. Jersey City police were making a traffic stop between Bergen and Oxford Avenues. According to the HCPO, during the stop "one of the officers discharged his weapon striking a vehicle."
No one was shot or injured.

The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the circumstances surrounding the
incident, including the motor vehicle stop and the officer’s discharge of his service weapon. As
is standard protocol, the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office has been notified of the incident
and investigation.
