Jersey City Public School 27 Receives Windowed Masks
The masks have a clear window to help hearing-impaired people read lips.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — Jersey City Public School #27 was the latest recipient of windowed masks to help hearing-impaired students read lips while staying safe.
Thyson Halley, a member of the New Jersey Deaf Advocacy Group, stopped by the school to deliver the masks. The masks look similar to traditional medical masks, but a clear window is covering the mouth, allowing people to see the wearer's lips.
The masks were purchased by Healthier JC.
